Tap that App!

By Marli Mesibov

Five months into 2011, we’re taking stock of our New Years’ Resolutions, particularly our desire to spread the UX love. What better way to work with more clients on Mobile UX design, and simultaneously evangelize UX design then to offer more opportunities for mobile usability testing?!

How can you get in on the action? Sign up for our Tap that App Contest, for a chance to win usability testing from Above the Fold. Contest ends May 31st – read on for more details.

Mobile apps are the way of the future – is your app ready?

The growth of mobile apps is astounding! According to ABI Research, an estimated 44 billion mobile applications will be downloaded within the next five years. Tap that App can put your app ahead of the curve; by winning Tap that App, you will embark on a usability test of your mobile app. We’ll work with you to create clear, individualized tasks and objectives, select testers, execute the testing, and present a report of the findings. We’ll also offer our expertise as usability consultants to determine your next steps in perfecting your app for the mobile scene. Direct user feedback vetted out by UX professionals? Sounds like an ideal advantage for any mobile app!

What do you have to do?

Step 1. Purchase a ticket to enter the contest.
Step 2. Tell us why your app needs testing – why should we choose you?
Step 3. We’ll let you know on June 2nd who the winner is!

What do you get out of it?

Our first place winner will receive a usability test for their mobile app!

Two runners up will receive a copy of Steve Krug’s book on in-house usability testing, Rocket Surgery Made Easy.

And just for entering, you are automatically invited to Tap that App’s exclusive demo and social hour at The Asgard on Thursday, June 2nd. Contest winners will be announced, and it’s the place to be to experience a live demo mobile usability test, learn about conducting basic usability tests, and socialize with other forward-thinking individuals. #tapthatapp
